In this article, I am going to attempt to give you all of the knowledge you need to make an informed decision of purchasing your perfect male chastity device. The thing is, there is no single best male chastity device out there; otherwise, I wouldn’t be writing this article. There is, however, the best male chastity device for you. To find your ideal chastity device, you must first consider many factors before starting your search.

What is the Best Material for a Male Chastity Device?

Silicone Male Chastity Devices

There are indeed some benefits to wearing a silicone chastity device, such as comfort and a low price point, but these devices are not ideal. The thing about silicone chastity devices is that they are so insecure it reminds Me of a bad joke. If you pull on the device or bend it, the wearer can easily take the cage on and off without unlocking it. Silicone is also more porous, which means that it is also less sanitary for long term wear. However, these devices are so comically insecure that there is no way to wear it long term. It could easily fall off while the wearer is moving around in their sleep.

There is no point in discussing sanitation procedures for this device as it would likely fall off just by the wearer trying to take a shower. If the wearer of the device becomes aroused, their erection will likely only push the device off of their genitals entirely. The point of a male chastity device is to restrict an erection when the wearer becomes aroused. There are extremely few situations where a silicone device would be acceptable.

Silicone is really just symbolic of a male chastity device

I only recommend buying a silicone device if you are incredibly new to exploring chastity and want to see if you enjoy it at all before investing in a more expensive material. Another good use for a silicone chastity device would be if you only intend on wearing it for short periods, such as less than an hour. You may want a silicone device if you are looking to spice up playtime in your bedroom and intend to take the cage off shortly after the beginning. If you are only seeking a symbol of chastity, rather than the full experience, you can get away with a silicone device.

However, if you tell Me that you want to be locked in chastity for Me and plan on using a silicone device, I am going to laugh at you. Silicone chastity devices are not suited for long term chastity whatsoever. Are you are serious about chastity training? You should get either a plastic or metal chastity cage.

Plastic Male Chastity Devices

Plastic male chastity devices are a favorite to many of My pets. There are many benefits to a great plastic chastity cage, such as security, sanitation, and comfort. The price point on plastic devices can also be considerably less than that of metal devices. Plastic enclosures are infinitely more secure than silicone ones as they do not bend at all. During long term chastity, the wearer of the device cannot tamper with their genitals. Another bonus to wearing a plastic chastity cage is that you can pass through metal detectors with ease. Even those wearing a metal chastity cage every day usually have a plastic cage set aside. They’re great to have on hand in case they need to travel. You don’t want to pass through airport security while wearing a metal male chastity cage, trust Me. One of the fun attributes of plastic devices is that they are available in a variety of colors.

They come in many different colors!

For this reason, many sissies prefer plastic cages so that they can wear a pink one. Some men feel better wearing a transparent plastic device. This allows them to see their penis while it is locked away. Some beginners prefer to take this route while they build trust with the chastity device itself. Plastic cages are more porous than metal cages, so the sanitation of the device is handled a bit differently. When wearing a plastic enclosure, the user should remove the device entirely at least every three days. They must completely clean the genital area. They will need to soak the cage in a solution of bleach and water for about an hour, weekly. This soak prevents bacteria from growing in the pores of the device, showering alone won’t cut it. Even antibacterial soap is not enough to kill the bacteria that have been breeding in the pores of the device.

If the submissive is familiar with the cleaning procedures necessary, you can use a plastic cage daily. Those who are incredibly serious about their male chastity training may even have two different chastity devices. That way they can remain locked while the other device is soaking. Some players use this time as their weekly play session. There are many ways to make the sanitation procedures sexy, and you must ensure they are a regular part of your training.

Metal Male Chastity Devices

At last, we have arrived at My favorite device material. There are a few reasons that I prefer metal over plastic, but honestly, I think that they look better. They are also the least porous of the materials, meaning that they are technically the most sanitary. Since I am a clean freak, this reason alone is enough to make this My favorite material. There is less variety in color choice amongst metal devices; your limited options are black, silver, or gold generally. But there is far more variety in shape than there is in plastic devices. They range from “open” cages with significant gaps between bars to completely enclosed metal tubes, and everywhere in between. Some of the fancier ones I have seen include wolf shaped devices. Although, I am not sure about the practicality of those devices.

Because the metal devices are far less porous, that means that the sanitation procedures are different. Many swear by being able to clean their genitals thoroughly without ever removing the device. They claim the right open style cage and a handheld showerhead is all you need. If you are going this route, it is critical to ensure that the device allows enough access to completely clean the genitals. And ensure no soap remains in the device. If soap is allowed to dry on the genitals, a rash will likely develop. Then they must remain unlocked until the rash dissipates.

For these reasons, I tend to prefer cage styles that allow for adequate cleaning while the cage remains on the wearer. The less you have to remove the device for cleaning, the less stimulation the locked pet receives. If the cage is one of those that allows no access for cleaning, then the device still must be removed every three days or so for a thorough cleaning.

What Type of Chastity Lock is Best

Traditional External “Diary-Style” Lock and Key

If you buy any chastity device with an external lock, it will come with a couple of “diary-style” locks and many keys. I have never heard anybody else refer to them as “diary-style,” but that’s what they look like to Me. Some of them are actual “diary-style” locks as they all take the same key. Think about it; you probably have a set of these keys in a drawer somewhere, even if you aren’t into chastity. They provide a false sense of security. Part of chastity play is the fact that there are a limited number of keys that unlock the device, and the keyholder knows the location to all of them. But the beauty of the external lock is that you can replace it to something more suited to your needs. There is the other style of basic key and lock where the keys are unique, and they give you two to four keys. These are more secure than the former option. There are also external code locks that some couples use. These are exactly like the other outer lock structure except secured by a code that presumably only the keyholder knows.

Internal Locking Mechanism

Some cages have locks built into them that you cannot change. You can not use an external lock on these devices, and if you lose the keys, you must buy a new device. If you lose the keys to a device still on the sub’s genitals, you are up a shit creek. I guess you could always contact your local locksmith, but that sounds like an unusual request. If you lose the keys to an external lock, it is relatively easy to cut the lock and replace it. However, the cages with an internal lock are much harder to open without the key. Depending on the style of enclosure, it probably means sharp tools where no man wants them.

Timed Lock Boxes

Many long-distance chastity players use timed lockboxes. The keys to the chastity device are in the lockbox, which is programmed to open on a schedule. Keyholders can allow the safe to open when they desire, and the sub can open the safe in case of an emergency.

What is the Best Chastity Lock for Long Term Keyholding?

We must take a moment here to discuss safety before continuing. Once you hear Me out, I am sure that you will agree with Me about the best lock options for long term male chastity training. While everything that you have read so far about locking up cocks may have sounded incredibly erotic, imagine what would happen in the case of an accident. What if the locked pet was in an emergency and needed to remove the cage quickly? With the methods I described above, the slave would be in quite a predicament. There are many instances where a pet locked in chastity would need to be able to remove the cage quickly on their own, some of which are more common or less dangerous than others.

They could need to travel with little to no notice, and you can’t wear a metal cage on airplanes. They could need to rush to the hospital, and the device could slow down medical care. If their testicle pops through the ring of the device onto the wrong side, the slave will be in immense pain until they can unlock and resituate their genitalia. Or, something could happen to the keyholder where they are unable to unlock the pet. It doesn’t matter how many safety measures you have in place, the fact of the matter is that if the slave cannot take the device off at a moment’s notice, they are at unnecessary risk. Luckily there is a way for both the keyholder and locked pet to get the security and safety required for long term chastity play.

Plastic Disposable Numbered Locks

Hands down, this is the cheapest and best method to ensure safety and security while engaging in chastity play over more extended periods. You can buy them by the hundreds online for pennies a lock. They come in many different colors, and each lock has a unique serial number. Each lock will only close one time, and there is no way to take off a proper device without removing the lock. It is also effortless to carry a few extra locks discreetly in one’s wallet in case they need to unlock when they are out and about. If you want to use disposable numbered locks, you will, of course, need to ensure that your device allows for you to use an external lock. When I am engaging in long-distance male chastity games, I always require My slaves to lock up in this manner.

App-Controlled Chastity Device with Built-in Lock

I have had many people suggest this method, and I have done My research on them. Supposedly, they use a similar concept of the disposable numbered locks. Each time the device is unlocked, the keyholder receives a notification. There are options to schedule opens for cleaning. There is even an option for the slave to select “emergency” as the reason for unlocking the device. The downsides of this method are that you have to buy specific equipment at a higher price point, and there are far fewer choices. There is less variety in sizing, and the devices are generally clunkier. You also have to replace batteries once or twice a year depending on use, and they don’t use conventional batteries.

These devices are much newer and are bound to have some kinks. Each player would also have to ensure that they were using a VPN if they were trying to remain anonymous. Generally, devices such as these that communicate between users log the geographic coordinates for each user for security purposes. You can expose your location if your VPN wavers for even a moment while using this device.

For these reasons, I still recommend the old tried and true method of disposable numbered locks. Primarily since when buying those locks, you are investing in something compatible with many chastity devices. If you don’t think that the fancy app-controlled equipment is comfortable, or decide to give up on male chastity, you are out a lot of money. If you are interested in trying out one of these devices, I recommend having a spare chastity device on hand.

Where to Buy your Chastity Device

Not everyone has access to sex shops, and most people are probably more comfortable making their purchases online. These are also not items that you can try on before buying. Once you decide what style of device you are looking for, read reviews on the product. Rather than buy from major sex toy companies directly from their websites, I recommend checking out AliExpress.com to see if they have what you need. Every time I check for chastity devices on there, I find thousands of options selling for less than half of what they go for on major websites.

They have every device imaginable and every variation with loads of reviews. Using AliExpress, you can buy the exact same devices that you can buy from major companies straight from the manufacturer with a significantly smaller markup. Especially with plastic devices that are mass-produced with 3D printers anyways. The only downside is that you have to wait about a month for shipping. But for the price of one big-name brand device, you could buy 3-5 to try out and see what works the best for you. That way, you know exactly what you are looking for before investing in a more expensive setup.

How to Find the Right Size Chastity Device

Unfortunately, trying out multiple devices is part of the chastity experience. You’re unlikely to find your “forever cage” on your first try. This is why I recommend buying cheap cages until you know precisely what you want. I think you will find that the cages you find on AliExpress can actually be fitting for permanent wear. Often, I hear too many stories about people who give up on chastity because the first cage they bought was $149, and it never fit right. I can see why that can be exceptionally discouraging. The harsh reality is that there is nowhere where you can go try a bunch of devices until you find your perfect fit.

Most cages come with a variety of rings to allow for differences in scrotal anatomy, but there is only one size for the actual cage. Before making a purchase, the sub must know the accurate measurements of their length and girth when they are both flaccid and fully aroused. Don’t make numbers up here. I have known many subs to have either measured completely wrong or grossly exaggerated. It’s your money, but don’t be a fool. Measure in the same ways you would if you were buying new clothes.

Always measure before ordering a male chastity device!

Now that you have your measurements, you want to ensure that your new cage will be secure on your flaccid penis and tight when you are erect. In My opinion, it should be tight enough on the erect penis that it is slightly uncomfortable. You don’t want the pain of an erection to be unbearable, at least not in a device intended for permanent use. A healthy male will at least experience an erection every morning, and the cage must account for this.

I hope this helped clarify some of the concerns you have while starting to explore chastity or find a new device. As always, I appreciate your input below in the comments.
