What we are aiming for
We want this site to work for everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.
Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are not claiming to have fully met it. We are claiming to be working towards it and to fix what we are told about.
What the site already does
- Static, lightweight pages. No heavy application framework, so pages load fast on slow connections and old devices.
- No pop-ups, interstitials or auto-playing audio. Nothing takes the page over.
- No cookie banner, because there are no cookies. One less obstacle between you and the content.
- Semantic HTML, so screen readers and reader modes can make sense of the structure.
- The site works with content blockers and with JavaScript restricted. Analytics is optional to the site functioning.
- Readable typography with generous line spacing and high-contrast text.
Where we know it falls short
Being honest about this is more useful than a blanket compliance claim:
- Some older imagery lacks descriptive alt text. We are working through it.
- Some pages have not been formally audited against WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Colour contrast has not been verified on every page, only on the main templates.
- Third-party platforms we link to have their own accessibility, which we do not control and cannot fix.
Tell us what is broken
